A few weeks ago I received news that I was going to get a free holiday, and in Penang as well!

I was like woo hoo!I later found out that it was for a programme for TV 9 called 3 Hari 2 Malam, a travel show hosted by Dr Fazley…I was very excited about the whole thing as I felt that no one knew Penang better than me, as I have worked there many times over the years.They said they would let me drive but they bluffed! Haha.

Anyway we took off early and arrived in time to EAT!To be honest with you, all we did was eat,eat and eat! I was surprised to find that I didn't know Penang as well as I thought I did.I have to mention the hotel we stayed at. In my opinion this has to be the place to stay in Penang. I am talking bout Shangrilla Rasa Sayang! I had a beautiful suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony hmmmm, how cool is that??One of my favourite things to do while staying in Batu Feringghi is to visit the night market. I am quite the shopoholic and always find something to take home.

We visited so many places, however the one that stood out the most for me was the Tropical Fruit Farm high up in the hills. This place was simply amazing. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with a visit here. The selection of unusual fruits was fascinating to me. For instance the 'Lembah Batu' fruit. Once in your mouth it feels like you have taken a spoonful of sugar. The cool thing bout this is that once u take it out of your mouth, anything edible you put into your mouth tastes sweet for bout the next half an hour!Besides fruit, we had asam laksa, nasi kandar, pasembor and a lot of other stuff la. I think I put on loads of weight in that 3 days. It was good fun though hanging out with the crew.

I also had a gig to perform for the birthday of 'Tuan Yang Terutama' of Penang. In conjunction with the birthday they had a drive to raise money for charity. It was very nice to meet the main man himself! The event was a success.Over all Penang is great, where you will have good food and fun but if you are desperate to loose some weight, beware!!! Hehe
